     About Esperanza Energy

Esperanza Energy was founded to bring California consumers new energy sources in the most technologically advanced and environmentally friendly manner possible. Esperanza proposes to develop a liquefied natural gas (LNG) receiving facility, Port Esperanza, approximately 15 miles offshore from the Port of Long Beach in Southern California.

A team of experts in LNG siting, environmental and regulatory management, and pipeline design and construction participated in Port Esperanza’s site evaluation. The team listened to guidance from regulatory agencies as they interpreted applicable environmental quality and safety laws and standards. The team then determined that the proposed site’s location, coupled with the use of innovative, but proven technology, would fulfill consumer needs in a cost-effective manner that also protects California’s environment.

Esperanza Energy is a subsidiary of Tidelands Oil and Gas, a Texas-based company that focuses on international pipeline crossings, liquefied petroleum product storage facilities and gas processing plants.
